Creation Day 4, Satan, and the church...

This email concerns my Creation Week understanding of Revelation 12 and
13, in particular, the understanding for Day 4 contained in these two
pages...

Perhaps through inspiration I can shed a little more light on this
today. You recall that I equated the red dragon with the moon. This
caused some people discomfort since the devil has no light. That is not
quite true. First we should remember that the moon does not have light
either of it's own but it reflects the light of the sun. Secondly we
should remember that the moon does not give off much light but is
mostly surrounded by darkness. It is the same with the devil. Recall
that the most dangerous lie is the one that has a little truth...
"You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. "For God
knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be
like God, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:4-5 (NIV)
Satan always gives a little truth (light) with his error (darkness).
That is what makes him dangerous. But this truth doesn't come from him
but is from God.
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your
father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to
the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his
native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:4 (NIV)
Also concerning my equating the sun with the church... we should
remember that according to God the sun is not the original source of
light. On Day 1 God created the light and separated light from
darkness. Then on Day 4 he created the sun. It should be noted that
John (the same author of Revelation) in John 1:1-5 equates this light
of Day 1 with Christ. (See my email from June 6th in this list.)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were
made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life,
and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness,
but the darkness has not understood it. John 1:1-5
Thus even though the church is the sun, Christ is the pre-sun light.
So in summary...

woman standing on the moon, etc. = sun
The moon...
1) doesn't have it's own light
2) it has a little light but much darkness
The devil...
1) has no truth (light) in him (John 8:4)
2) always mixes truth and error... (a little truth with a lot of
error?) (Genesis 3:4-5)
The church is the sun but John says Christ is the pre-sun light. (John
1:1-5 compared to Genesis 1:1-3)
Note: Sun - light = black hole
