hello all,
just a quick couple of things i'd like to touch on regarding your DMP
experience
***turnaround time***
over the first 5 shows, we were able to release albums and videos
within a month of the previous show. since that time, we've been
getting backlogged due to any number of logistical issues. the primary
one is that participating media creators don't get paid to do what
they do -- their time is their own and personally, i feel privileged
to receive whatever they can provide.
so from video to album releases, please, i beg of you, be patient with
each other. especially don and dan. without them dedicating their time
to *each* show, none of this would be possible.
my first concern really is keeping the DMP community of artists happy,
so if you have any concerns or issues with any part of this
experience, please contact me directly.
***quality upgrade***
i sent out an email to the musicians last week. in it, i introduced
our partnership with studio 4. since then, bruce piephoff and randy
furches have gone through the process and both are extremely pleased
with the results. here's a blog post that highlights the differences
between the DMP mix and the studio 4 output:

not only is the quality much better, but if you're concerned about
turnaround, the studio 4 option is quite possibly the way to go as
well. as of right now, only two more artists are scheduled to work in
the studio.
i'm not trying to push this on anyone. we're more than happy to give
you the best quality free mix we can in the time frame that's
possible. this is simply another option, and an inexpensive one at
that.
thanks for your patience, everyone. i do hope to see you at the show
next week, or at the green bean photo exhibit opening on 9/4.
best,
sean
