Prayer requests + updates

Hello DEX Sisters, 

I wanted to ask for your prayers as well as check in with everyone. 

Guinea (Charlaine):

Charlaine was involved in a very serious car accident during her Peace Corps tour in Guinea. Please continue to pray with her during her recovery. She has temporarily relocated to the DMV area. 

Houston (Vasti):

I have checked in with our only Houston resident, Vasti. Vasti, her husband, and her new baby boy (congratulations!) Are all safe and well after Hurricane Harvey. We have some DEX sisters with family in the Houston area. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. 

Prayer Requests:

A lot of our friends and family are impacted by the forecasted trajectory of the Atlantic formed hurricanes. Below is a listing of the DEX Sisters in the areas presumed to be impacted. Please pray with them. 

Bahamas- Family of Anishka

North Florida- Nina, A'Scotia, Shishandra, Asha

South Florida- Chardea, Sharice, Chanel, Sakeena, Kiesha, family of Charlaine

If I missed you or your family, please let us know, so we can pray with you and check on you. 

Also, I have 3 students who were deployed to assist in relief efforts:

KaDeca, Abraham, Darius. I am still waiting on 2 others to let me know if their status was activated or not. Please pray with them as well. 

Thank you, Sisters. We know faith pleases God, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. 

I'm praying Psalm 23 to calm my spirit and connect more intimately with His. You have any suggestions as well?

❤️ I've safely evacuated with my family to central FL. Prayers for us please as our home is near the coast in Miami. Praying for safety, patience, and phileo love during this storm for all.

God is great! It turns out 2 of my students are stationed together. Additionally, one of my students was deployed to where my long-time Mentee is assigned. God is looking out for His children. Thank You, Lord! And thank you all for your prayers.

Just as an update---

As of last week, any sisters who were impacted by Hurricane Irma now have power. No one sustained any serious damage. Thank you all so much for your prayers and well wishes.
