If you haven't heard, we've scheduled Summer Slaughter II for the
August 20th - 22nd weekend. It's going to be a very exciting event and
I'm making sure we don't run into any of the issues we had last year.
I understand the concern about school starting up near the same time
however it couldn't be helped as the previous weekend I'll be in
Texas, and the weekends before that were booked. Trust me, the only
way around that is to schedule it later (In September). I can't wait
to see you all there it's going to be a truly fun event. The details
are blow!
Summer Slaughter II
Where: Turkey Lake Park, Orlando, Florida
Address: 3401 South Hiawassee Road, Orlando, FL
When: August 20th - 22nd, 2010
Cost: $20
Parking Cost: It costs 5 dollars per car to park all weekend. We may
or may not cover parking costs, it depends how many people plan to
attend. The more people, the more money we can work with and the more
we can afford to spend. Plan on paying for your own parking at this
time.
Pre-registration will open up soon and allow you to pay in advance via
Google Checkout much like last year.
Tournaments (Not final and taking suggestions):
- Sword and Shield
- 4 Horsemen
- Ring of Fire (Prev. Atlantian Ring)
Prepare yourselves for Florida's largest Dagorhir state event. Clear
your calendars and make sure you ask your work off for the August 20th
weekend because we'll be running Florida's second Summer Slaughter.
This is a very exciting time for us here at the FFA as we've been
working hard to plan and schedule this amazing camp out.
This will be an amazing event and you can be sure that we will not
disapoint you. Also, Dagorhir will be sponsoring this event so the
Dagorhir rulebook will be used.
Feasts, battles, friends, and fire pits await you in the `pleasent`
Florida august weather at Turkey Lake Park. So prepare yourselves for
August 20th, 21st, and 22nd weekend where we will hold a Battle for
all of Florida and Georgia to look at and admire!
I have also assured that no scheduling conflicts occur as they did
last year. We will have full rights to the pavilion as well as the
fields so we aren't invaded by Cricket players. Tell everyone you
know. :)
