Hi David,

Thanks for the e-mail. I will have to get in touch with you in about 10 days from now since I won't have internet access this next week after today.  My dna is on Ancestry and I had mitichondrial dna  done by another group previous to Ancestry. I forgot which one. I have found some distantly related  Davis cousins but so far they are not related directly to Jeremiah or my Levi so far. As I stated before when everyone was researching, I thought that Jeremiah might not have been Levi's father. I never found proof.   Is your dna  on Ancestry?  Since I have 3 Davis lines it's hard to know which one is the line too.  I always thought that my Levi was the son of Ebenezer, not Jeremiah, but I'm not sure why I believed this originally. I  changed the tree because everyone seemed to be connected to Jeremiah.

My tree is on ancestry. I could print it out for you and send it by snail mail if you'd like but it may take awhile.

Take care,

Connie

Connie; I have submitted my moms dna to a company called 23andme. It has
been very interesting to say the least. Her mom was Alice Davis, decended
from Ishmael, Mirandi, Jeremiah II, Jermiah I I believe. I have been in
contact with you previously as well as Richard Schultz. For the life of me
I can not find our family tree. I am hoping you can send me a copy so I
may help solve alot of answers from contacts on 23andme. Our closests
family so far is Fred Krause and Jane Devota, both decended from Ebenezor
Davis Mirandis brother. Fred is from Davison Michigan and Jane of all
places my home town area Chesaning-New Lothrup Michigan. We have had
lively conversations although we do not even know each other. My family
centennial homestead is still in Lakefield Michigan and their is a defunct
George Davis farm a mile away and yet to find a connection. I have stopped
at the Mark Davis cottage in Higgins Lake and left my card with info. but
not a reply. I fear that they just dont care or think that I want to sell
their home, HHHHHHa. Help me if you can. David Dankert

I have not posted anything on ancestry.com. When names appear on 23andme
they give a dna sequence either in pink maternal or blue paternal. My moms
dna is U4B1 pink which is very rare. Only about 7% or less of the
population has it. There are only a few of the posted dna U4B1. Alot of
the blue sequence is this R1B1..... and thee are alot of them and I read
that is the most common genetic male marker. I dont fully understand the
markers and how it relates to family. Fred and Jane are not my moms
markers and the closet family. It also gives a standard geographic area in
percent. Speculative is 30% british and Irish, 20% French and german, 8%
Scandanavian with a smaller Polish, Danish, Norwegian, Slovak,
Iberian(north Italy, Portu, or Basque with is northern spain). When
grandma was with it she told me the Davis Clan was from Vermont and that
they were Welsh Decent. Davis aka Davies is common in Wales. The Davis
clan is from Brattleboro Vermont and it lies on the New Hampshire Border.
Because this dna goes back, way back it is not unusual that some family
have both maternal and paternal markers. Take your time and email when you
can. I will also pick Richards and Kathy Herifords brains.
