Davis Brothers Y-DNA

Just following up on the recent post about the seven Davis brothers from Ireland. 

 

Has any male descendant of this line had their Y-DNA tested?

 

Is there a known Haplogroup or haplotype?

 

The 'R' haplogroup is often found with the Davis surname, sometimes 'I', a few others scattered, E, G etc.  What is the case here?
