I found a lot of good
information this past week … and lots of headstones.
First, I believe Emily, daughter of Aaron Davis (and
Margaret), married Elihu Arman, son of John Arman and Nancy Davis. And, I have
date of death for her, February 22, 1876.
See my tree for Emily:
Now, I know that Aaron had a daughter
Emily. And I know Elihu married an Emily Davis.
It’s not a hard connection, but like many of our other
genealogy records with this family, it is circumstantial. I really don’t know
when Emily was born as her year of birth is inconsistent on her marriage record
and on the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census records.
On the 1850 census, Aaron, Emily and
Lorenzo are living with George Davis , and Leonard is living with Levi Davis
and Fannie (as well as Fannie’s parents, John and Nancy).
This is the first thing I found from the
FindAGrave website for William Sherman Arman:
That gave me a date of death for Emily.
Then I found a Find A Listing for Emily:
I also found a text listing of everyone
buried in Homer Cemetery:
ARMAN, Emily died Feb. 22, 1876
Not only is Emily buried there, but Aaron and Lorenzo are
buried there as well. (Marla is “Maria”, Lorenzo’s first wife. Nancy E.
is Lorenzo’s second wife, and Cora Beane is Lorenzo and Maria’s daughter.)

If you go to the Find A Grave website
for Homer cemetery, you can find headstones for almost everyone above.
Then I found a headstone for Leonard at
Arlington National Cemetery:
There a lot of Armans buried in Bristol
Cemetery (related to William Sherman Arman):
Elihu Sr. is buried with his daughter,
Fannie May.
Elihu Sr. has his own listing on Find A
Grave, but his name is misspelled:
Davises buried at Chippewa Cemetery on
Find A Grave:
I also found a death certificate for
both Fannie and Levi Jr. at Find A Grave:
That’s it for now!
