Tuesday's (tomorrow) Meeting at Spookys

Lively discussions were the theme of last week’s meeting! Some of whats to come:
District 36G Convention, Hot Dogs & games at Sorosis, Hood River Lions Folly, 100 Year Celebration, Cherry Festival, Witches Walk, …Whew!!!
And then, discussions mellowed & turned into stories of Lions in the Old Days…interesting.
Lion Jen Zimmerman & Lion Lori Stiles gave a report on their presence (along with cookies) at the High School, introducing the Leo Program to the students. There were several that signed up & several that just enjoyed the cookies. It was a great start to a program that just may take off in the not-too-distant future!!
Lion Jim Wilcox is continuing the can pick up….if you have cans & want to take the easy way out of getting rid of them, donate….Jim will even pick them up! For more info, Lion Jim is your contact!!
What a Sweet Anniversary Surprise from Lion Wayne Jacobsen. A kiss to his Bride of 50 years (along with a Florida Vacation the last 2 weeks) & $50. to his beloved Lions Club! Thank you!!

If you have family members or friends concerned about The Dalles relationship with Google here, bring them to tomorrow’s meeting. Our Honorable Mayor, Lion Rich Mays and Dave Anderson, formerly The Dalles Public Works Director have agreed to come and talk with us. Hopefully there will be time afterward for questions.
