to The Dalles Lions Club

Did you know that our local CGCC has a metal fabrication class that among many different things they do, they built a play structure at Chenoweth Elementary & a metal sign at the Great & Small Daycare by the hospital.  Process engineering, prototype for American manufacture companies, student manufacturing day & on Fridays an open lab for anyone that would like to see what they do & do some yourself.  Robert Clark touched on as much as he could, this was a stellar presentation!

This is a great asset to our town & huge possibilities for the future!  Mike K. wrote a nice article with pictures on the dalles lions facebook page!

We enjoyed guests, Brianna King from Columbia Basin Assisted Living & Rehabilitation Center, Lions Lori & Jeff Stiles’ Daughter with baby Clark & Grant, from Lions Albany!

WELCOME BACK LION BOB BROCKMAN!!

Thanks to Lion Mike K. we now have a drop box on 3rd street by City Hall, for all glasses, hearing aids & even printer ink!   Way to go Mike!!

Our speaker will be Dennis Morgan, Principal Broker/Owner at Copper West, to give us a current assessment of our housing market in The Dalles.  This would be a great presentation to ask a friend or family member to come & listen.  It’s sure to be enlightening!

Lion Jim W. is still willing to pick up any cans you may want to donate. 4/15 – 4/26 is a bonus time so give him a call to arrange delivery or pick up.  Great Job Jim!!!

 Next Up:

Sat 3/21 – Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics – Lions Ethan Wray & Brad D’Urso are going to take the dip along with Lions Nancy & Ross’s grandson, Logan!!   click here  to support & plan to be there to ROAR!

Sat 3/21 – Right after the plunge, it’s on to the HR Lions Follies – There was a sign-up sheet at the meeting, however, make a call to Lion Ethan W.  if you would like to help. Should be a blast!! We’ll meet at Big 5 @ 5:30, play to leave by 6!

April-Club Elections are coming up…let Lion Kris H.
                                    know if you’re interested!

Sat 4/10 & Sun 4/11 District 36G Convention will be at the Granada.  There are many projects that need volunteers so please contact Lion Tim M. or Lion Jennifer Z. & let them know you’re available!  Also, if you are gifted with artistic ways, you could do a Gift Basket!

Incentive to come to this meeting – the 50/50 Pot is BIG!!!

If you come to all the meetings, some of the meetings or just get involved with projects….It’s so much fun when we’re all together!
