Float Final Report 11/29/25

[The Dalles Lions Club]

Deconstruction:

Seven Lion members and two additional family members deconstructed the float that took over a week to construct in just over 30 minutes.  We saved the material and decorations for use in the future.  Here is the list of Lions (and Leos) that participated in the construction and operations:

This was a unique time for this Starlight Parade.  Normally, I would be a participant, a judge, or some other official.  I sat on the tailgate of the pickup pulling the float and was able to see the faces of children as we passed.  Eyes lighted up and smiles of both the children and parents brought a tear to my eye.  The happiness that we brought to The Dalles this holiday season will remain in my memory for years to come.  Thank you to all...yes, even my Alpha Team members.  Merry Christmas to all.
