Yippee!! it’s Monday before Lion’s again!! I need to clear up a fo paw from last week’s email…I missed the Riverside Gym website.. I highly recommend you give it a look!
Last Week’s Meeting: We must start off with a Big Congrats to Lion Dale R. for doing a great job as Greeter & especially…for receiving his 10 YEAR MEMBERSHIP PIN! Congratulations again & so glad you’re a Lion in The Dalles Club!!
The Annual Elections for Club Officers was led by Lion Kris H. and great attention was paid to the list of nominees. After a less-than-rousing (meaning no fusses or fights) all were approved, 2nd (& a 2nd 2nd) & carried. New officers begin July 1st!
Congrats to All!!
Dues can now be given to Lion Kris H., up until June 30th, 2026
$100 for one person & $180 for two
Joining us again, our Guest was Lion Paul Zastrow, Past District Governor of our district & currently the District G Cabinet Secretary. He hails from Hood River Eye Openers & I think he likes us!! We sure enjoy having him join us!
We also welcomed our newest Cub, Paul Viemeister to our club. We’ll be doing his induction April 28th & I hope to see everyone here to welcome him into the pride!!
We had a review & many wonderful comments, memories shared & heartfelt claps of Thank yous to Lions Tim M., Jen Z. & Chuck G. for their magic touch & hard work for the 36G Convention. Thank you just doesn’t seem to be enough!!
We also exercised our vocals with a rousing Happy Birthday song to our Past President, Lion Ethan W. by speaker phone! I could hear he was choked up!!
Next UP: Darren Lacock will be flying in to talk to us about the airport. Let’s welcome him with a HUGE group of Lions!!

Thurs 4/23 – Board Meeting, Noon @ Casa El Mirador (11:30 if you want to eat). Open to all to attend & let Lion Kris H. know if there is something you want to address.
Sat 4/25: Cherry Festival Float – Sign-up sheets were passed around but don’t worry if you weren’t here to sign up. Just go to (our website/jen). Still need riders & Lions for the booth. Bring a chair to ride on or walk & hand out brochures. We’re Promoting 100-year celebration & in the JC Penny lot a booth.
Tues 4/28: Cub’s Induction to Lion hood!!
Lion Jen Z., has graciously offered to be tomorrow’s greeter. She’s so nice!!!
If you come to all the meetings, some of the meetings or just get involved on projects...It’s so much fun when we’re all together!
