I was so tired last night I was giggling and making up words
and was told to go to bed before I hurt anyone. I said, "but the
Humpus!" but was told that the internet could wait. So... 2 humpuses today?
That seems fair.
Stephen Elliott was reading in Crown Heights Brooklyn last night. Crown
Heights is an interesting neighborhood; a mix of Caribbean
culture and Hassidic Jews. There’s 1
good bar; that’s where Stephen was reading.
He didn’t mention that he was going to be in Brooklyn
even though I emailed him the other day… I guess they honeymoon’s over. I’m no longer the mysterious girl with the
hips and the smile at the Christmas-party-apartment-reading-thinger.
Speaking of honeymoons and marriages and whatnot… my troupemate is getting married tomorrow at City Hall in NYC. She’s not planning to live with her husband until next March. Meanwhile my guy and I are talking about living together but have no plans to get married at all whatsoever for a very long time. She’s getting marriage for the health insurance, basically, which is especially weird because usually cohabitating partners can share health insurance… clearly they don’t want to live together. In our morning email chain said troupemate announced she was leaving to introduce her parents to her fiance’s parents… it was a short engagement. This is all so very bizarre to me.
I feel like I’m too young to even be thinking about these things but I realize that I’m NOT too young at ALL to be thinking about these things and that is just a little terrifying.
That’s all for this morning. I have avoided doughnuts so far today…nothing can top the most perfect doughnut ever: http://img158.yfrog.com/i/9fvx.jpg/ Sigh. So beautiful.

You’ve all seen this OK GO video by now, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qybUFnY7Y8w&feature=player_embedded
The video premiered at The Tank (http//www.thetanknyc.org) a nonprofit arts presenting org/space where I volunteer. That doesn’t really mean anything but it’s pretty awesome. I love watching the making-of videos on the youtube.
Please weigh in on this Goldfrapp video (I think I might ask Stephen Elliott to do the same): http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?mkt=en-GB&vid=f22ad659-2777-452e-be1d-6f132dfedf28
