Hi. Once upon a time I tried to write a clendar system for a non-
profit that does drop-in tutoring and special events. I failed
completely and left the organization in shame. Now, another arts
organization I work with wants a public web-calendar system for
approx. 15 events a month. Some are shows (running a week or two),
some are one-night events, some are film screenings. Can someone
please give me advice on a working, free, web calendar system.

Also, a non-profit in Asheville, NC wants a web redesign with tie-ins
to Democracy for America campaigns. Can anyone in this group
recommend a designer/developer/team that does visually pleasng work
and knows Drupal?

Thanks.

You might want to try Google calendar for the events, and consider
building on PBwiki for the website.
Drupal is a bear to learn so the number of folks who know it are
pretty limited. I haven't tried to build a website out of PBWiki, but
it does take CSS. My bet is that it could be pushed to solve the
problem.
The really good news about pbwiki is that it's very, very easy for the
client to update and change after the design is done.

Hope this helps.
