Christmas isn't just about carols and presents.  For Christians, this is the season where we remember that God decided to break into our world and offer us a Way that offers such a better life and purpose.

Both John the Baptist and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. knew this.  They were both known to quote Isaiah in proclaiming that the coming of Christ should awaken in us a willingness to prepare by looking out for all the ways in which the world need to be straightened out or fixed up.

Sure Jesus came as a baby, but by remembering the instruction to "prepare the way of the Lord" we can participate in the great transformative power that this baby offers and exemplifies!

Yours in Christ,

READ Luke 3:1-6 - Where are the rough places in your life that you need to make plain?  Where are the crooked places in the world that we need to make straight?  Where are the low places in the world that we need to lift up or high places that we need to bring down?
