Elementary OS is my favorite Linux distro. It's clean, light weight, easy to use, and beautiful. But it has one major flaw which I HATE... there is no minimize button any more on windows. It can be argued that the minimize button isn't really necessary but for me personally it's a must have. So here's the steps of how to bring the minimize button in Elementary OS.
- Download DConf Editor by opening a terminal and typing "sudo apt-get install dconf-tools"
- Run Dconf Editor and navigate to org>pantheon>desktop>gala>appearance
- Edit button-layout to be "close:minimize,maximize".
That's it! Now you should see a minimize button in upper right hand corner of all your windows.
