When taking Israël as the promissed land in 1Ne18:23 all events in
the

BoM, could be traced in the same years in the classical Historybooks.

Earlier we indentified Lehi as Jeremiah, Ismaël as Ishmaël, river
Laman as the Nile, Irreantum as Eritrea and Nephi as captain for
Necho
II who sailed around Afrika.
The landfall of Lehi was in Lycia. Short after Lehi died and Nephi
was
contested as the new leader and left his brothers and ships in Lydia
and went on a journey northwards where he reached after many days
good
pasture.

6 Wherefore, it came to pass that I, Nephi, did take my family, and
also aZoram and his family, and Sam, mine elder brother and his
family,

and Jacob and Joseph, my younger brethren, and also my sisters, and
all

those who would go with me. And all those who would go with me were
those who believed in the bwarnings and the revelations of God;
wherefore, they did hearken unto my words.
7 And we did take our tents and whatsoever things were possible for
us, and did journey in the wilderness for the space of many days. And
after we had journeyed for the space of many days we did pitch our
tents. 8 And my people would that we should call the name of the
place
aNephi; wherefore, we did call it Nephi. 9 And all those who were
with me did take upon them to call themselves the apeople of Nephi.

So after sailing around Africa, Nehi left his ships and brothers in
Lydia and went on a long journey northwards, between te borders of
Lydia and Babylon, who had made a pact, across Anatolia to the grass
and

lowlands around the Black Sea mainly populated by Scytians. There
they
converted into shephards and craftsmen, who built a temple as well.

11 And the Lord was with us; and we did aprosper exceedingly; for
we

did sow seed, and we did reap again in abundance. And we began to
raise

flocks, and herds, and animals of every kind.
13 And it came to pass that we began to prosper exceedingly, and
to
multiply in the land.
.
15 And I did teach my people to abuild buildings, and to bwork in
all

cmanner of wood, and of diron, and of copper, and of ebrass, and of
steel, and of fgold, and of silver, and of precious ores, which were
in

great abundance.
16 And I, Nephi, did abuild a btemple; and I did construct it after
the manner of the temple of cSolomon save it were not built of so
many
dprecious things; for they were not to be found upon the land,
wherefore, it could not be built like unto Solomon's etemple. But the
manner of the construction was like unto the temple of fSolomon; and
the workmanship thereof was exceedingly fine.
17 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, did cause my people to be
aindustrious, and to blabor with their chands.

These texts of a nomad tribe of sheppards and crafsmen fits very well
on the Scyths and Chalybes, who were the first smiths.
The temple of Efeze was quiete near, but hardly Jewish.

(Wikipedia :Scythians)

The first Scythian state, the First Scythian Kingdom, rose among
Scythians who penetrated in the seventh century BC from the
territories

north of the Black Sea into the Near East. It was dominated by
interethnic forms of dependency based on subjugation of agricultural
population in eastern South Caucasia, plunder and levied
contributions
(as far as Syria and Egypt for some periods), regular tribute
(Midia),
tribute disguised as gifts (Egypt), possibly also payments for
military

support (Assyria). The Scythian social structure was much
decentralized. The main features of the Scythian social organization
developed before the seventh century B.C. (Khazanov 1975).

Probably, the same dynasty ruled in Scythia during the most part of
its

history. The name of Koloksai, a legendary founder of a royal
dynasty,
is mentioned by Alcman in the seventh century B.C. Prototi and Madi,
Scythian kings in the Near Eastern period of their history, and their
successors in the north Pontic steppes belonged to the same dynasty.
Herodotus lists five generations of a royal clan that probably
reigned
at the end of the seventh to sixth centuries BC: prince Anacharsis,
Saulius, Idanthyrsus, Gnurus, Lycus, and Spargapithes. (Herodotus IV,
76)

There is another clue that the Scythes were the Nephites, in the
story
of Herodotus about the origen of the Scyths and Scytes.,

[4.10] Hereupon he strung one of his bows - up to that time he had
carried two - and showed her how to fasten the belt. Then he gave
both
bow and belt into her hands. Now the belt had a golden goblet
attached
to its clasp. So after he had given them to her, he went his way; and
the woman, when her children grew to manhood, first gave them
severally

their names. One she called Agathyrsus, one Gelonus, and the other,
who

was the youngest, Scythes. Then she remembered the instructions she
had

received from Hercules, and, in obedience to his orders, she put her
sons to the test. Two of them, Agathyrsus and Gelonus, proving
unequal
to the task enjoined, their mother sent them out of the land;
Scythes,
the youngest, succeeded, and so he was allowed to remain. From
Scythes,

the son of Hercules, were descended the after kings of Scythia; and
from the circumstance of the goblet which hung from the belt, the
Scythians to this day wear goblets at their girdles. This was the
only
thing which the mother of Scythes did for him. Such is the tale told
by

the Greeks who dwell around the Pontus.

Tis story about brotherrivaltry and election by bending bows one
finds
in
2 Nephi 5:1 ,1 Nephi 16:23
and that of kings in a long row.
Jacob 1:11

team of Bulgarian archaeologists, led by Daniela Agre, excavated an
ancient Thracian tomb near the village of Brodilovo and the Strandzha
mountain range. According to Agre, the tomb dates from the 4th century
BC and is rich in artefacts. It is the only Thracian tomb discovered
in the area so far. *
