THE LAND OF NEPHI WAS LYCIA

When taking Israel as the promised land in 1Ne18:23, all events in
the
BoM, could be traced in the same years in the classical History books

Earlier we identified Lehi as Jeremiah, Ishmael as Ishmael, river
Laman as a canal cut from the Nile to the Red Sea by Pharaoh Necho
, Irreantum as Eritrea and Nephi as the captain of Necho II who
sailed
around Africa.

We still have to locate the landfall and there are some problems.
Herodotus says it was in the Nile. The Mormons say America. The
BoM indicates Israel.

>From the BoM we see some interesting clues:

1. The seeds grew exceedingly, what you could expect from seeds,
taken from Jerusalem.
2. The beasts you will not find in America, but yes, in Israel.
3. The metals were not found in Israel, but are in nearby Turkey.

The Phoenician and Jewish crew left, when Necho II was in power, but
arrived when Israel and Egypt were under Nebukadnezars rule and Tyre
and Sidon under siege or destroyed.

So the ships would not have landed in Israel, Egypt nor the
Phoenician towns, but would have diverted to land still under
friendly
control like the small city state Lycia in South West Turkey, founded
around that time by Phoenician sailors.

The name Lehi is pronounced by Americans more or less the same as
Lycia

> And it came to pass that after we had sailed for the space of many
> days we did arrive at the promised land; and we went forth upon the
> land, and did pitch our tents; and we did call it the promised land.
> 18:24 And it came to pass that we did begin to till the earth, and
> we began to plant seeds; yea, we did put all our seeds into the
> earth, which we had brought from the land of Jerusalem. And it came
> to pass that they did grow exceedingly; wherefore, we were blessed
> in abundance.
> 18:25 And it came to pass that we did find upon the land of
> promise, as we journeyed in the wilderness, that there were beasts
> in the forests of every kind, both the cow and the ox, and the ass
> and the horse, and the goat and the wild goat, and all manner of
> wild animals, which were for the use of men. And we did find all
> manner of ore, both of gold, and of silver, and of copper.

No wonder that the seeds, brought from Jerusalem grew exceedingly
and
all these animals were found in the promised land, because the
promised
land was Israël or its surroundings
