Blogger, Wordpress, and SEO

I prefer Blogger over Wordpress for several reasons. I've been slowly
building my blog, www.campfireplace.com. With that I have a two
question situation. First, it bothers me that many WP people say that
Blogger isn't as good for SEO. Is this true? Why? Second, what needs
to be done to my blog to optimize it?
