Great Ice Shaver for the money with just 2 or 3 small issues

I am very happy with my purchase but there are some things that you should be aware of. I have highlighted a couple of minor problems I had with the machine. The bottom line is that I highly recommend this shave ice machine. NO children should operate this machine for safety reasons. If you are looking for great shave ice and don't want to spend a fortune then get this one. I have made about 150 shave ice cups when I made this video. I will update this is any issues come up down the road.
I also threw in a few suggestions on what not to do as well as links to where I purchased my additional items for it. Let me know if you have any questions and I will try to answer them.

Better than expected for casual use. Great Price!

We have a Swan, a Hatsuyuki, and this Great Northern shaver. Although it isn't as heavy duty as the others, it still has stood up to some busy use when we needed it as a backup. It does not come with a foot-pedal but it will work with one you can buy separately. It makes a good clean shave and holds a block well. We have only been using it for a month but have had no trouble with it. Our Hatsuyuki (that we paid 6 times the price for) has been nothing but trouble and I would not recommend it.
Get a Swan for Heavy duty use and the Great Northern for casual use. Just a recommendation from the people who use them everyday! This model is a great product for the price! If you plan on using this a lot. Get a foot pedal!
For casual, at home use, freeze ice in a gallon or half-gallon ice cream bucket and you will have the perfect shape ice block for making amazing shaved ice treats! where you get your flavors is up to you.

Better Than Matsumoto's!

I went to Hawaii with my family a few weeks ago, and my wife was on a mission to find the best shave ice, better than some she had on Maui last year that she claimed was unbelievable. We hit all the top spots on Oahu, e.g. Matsumoto's, Waiola, etc. I wasn't blown away by any of them. Not having had the magical shave ice she had last year, I thought shave ice was shave ice was shave ice.
Then tonight we fired up this machine after it arrived today, and I finally get it. As fluffy as fresh Utah powder as it falls, and the texture in your mouth is more creamy than crystalline. I was laughing out loud at how good it was.
Can't speak for durability or anything, but it seems to be very well built and the quality of shave ice is absolutely stupendous.
