SHOUT! flips through the years like a musical magazine and takes you back to the music, the fashion and the freedom of the 60's! This smashing revue tracks five groovy gals as they come of age during those liberating days that made England swing! Join this non-stop journey through the infectious and soulful pop anthems and ballads that made household names of stars like Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Lulu. SHOUT! uses letters to an advice columnist, true confessions, quizzes and advertisements as a frame for terrific new arrangements of such chart-topping hits as "To Sir With Love," "Downtown," "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me," "Son of A Preacher Man," and "Goldfinger." With its irresistible blend of hip-swiveling hits, eye-popping fashions and psychedelic dances from the 60's, this fun-filled musical will make you want to throw your head back and SHOUT!

Season Tickets for our 2011 season are still available, at a discounted price. Now, you can enjoy our five remaining shows for the price of four! The Barn to provide entertainment at Taking Tea with Shakespeare
Dave and Christina Martin will represent The Barn Players on Sunday, April 17th at Taking Tea with Shakespeare. This annual event is presented by Leawood Stage Company and the Magna Carta Chapter of the Daughters of the British Empire. The Martins will be performing several of their favorite Shakespearean scenes while those in attendance will be indulging in tea and delectable treats. There will also be a silent auction. Doors of the Oak Room at the Leawood Community Center, 4800 Town Center Drive open at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $16.00 each or $90 for a table of six. The Barn Players Summer Internship Program - Now Taking Applications
Area high school and college will have the opportunity to earn up to $500.00 to be used toward tuition, boarding or books at the college of his/her choice. Application deadline is April 30, 2011. This is an incredible opportunity for a student to earn necessary college money, by participating in something that he/she enjoys! The internship requires the student to be available to work / study on our summer productions at The Barn Players Theatre.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
* Currently be currently enrolled in a high school or college
theatre program, and be from the Metro
Kansas City area
* Have a minimum GPA of 2.75
* Provide a letter of recommendation from an instructor or
counselor at the school that he/she attends
* Provide a cover letter of introduction by describing his/her
interest in the performing arts
* Provide a current theatrical resume listing his/her experience
in the performing arts
