Is there a way to link together 2 Twin Reverb II amps? I have an a/b
box, but wanted to see if one of the outputs on the back of the amp is
usable.

and...

What is the Line/Recording output used for?

Thanks!!!

What is the Line/Recording output used for?... You can use it to link
two amps together. Plug the Line/Recording out into one of the inputs
of the other amp.
Keep the gain down at first, on the second amp, untill you get the
level right. If you get a lot of hum you will have to lift the ground
on the second amp. The line out cord will couple both amps to the same
ground level.

Parallel a guitar chord from the second input of the channel your in of the
first twin to the input of the second twin. Multiple amps/effects that have
common grounds can only be grounded to earth in one place. Lift the ground
on all but one of all the amps/devices(effects, mixers, etc) with common
grounds and then set the polarity on each amp/device for the least hum.
The line/recording output is a line level signal suitable for a input to a
mixing console or recording device. Like for plugging your guitar amp into
the main PA mixing board.

and...

Thanks!!!

hi there George

the line out / recording output on the TRII is actually the speaker
signal, but padded down to make it compatible with the uses the other
replies have mentioned. Some amps have a line-out from the preamp
section (so on those amps you could get a line-out signal without the
amp making a sound) but on the TRII you will need the master turned
up. BUT it's not a speaker-emulated output - the amp's usual sound
comes via two 12" speakers which change the tone in a good way
(they're more like woofers than tweeters). You will find the line out
is more trebly, so don't be surprised if you find the second amp needs
different tone-control settings to the first.

It can be a really neat idea to put a short delay (25-30 milliseconds)
between the 2 amps - creates a great sense of 'space'.

I collect serial numbers for these amps - if you tell me yours I can
tell you when they were made. More info on my website

best wishes!
