I have a similar cabinet. I bought a Blackface Fender Bassman 1967
(which probably means it was made in late 1966 or very early 1967 before
the silver faces came in. The grill cloth has a bit of silver in it but
not the blue/white/silver cloth that was typically found on Silver
faces. The cabinet has 2 JBL D120F's and has all the usual Fender stuff
on the inside FO # etc. BUT there is no center baffle! There is sort of
a ridge of wood there that sort of goes around where the baffle should
be. There is just the 2 speakers and a whole lot of fiberglass
insulation. On the outside of the back there are screw holes where the
baffle would have been and none of the screws around the perimeter have
the "saucer" washers.
There are lugs on top (the narrow side) but no lugs on the long side or
any tilt back legs. I'm pulling from memory now, but I had a 1965
Bassman when I was a kid and I seem to remember there were lugs on the
side so you could stack the amp on the narrow end or on the side. I
could be wrong. It was a long time ago.
But anyway the cabinet is odd. Sounds great though.
