This honey I harvested is from this spring in my San Leandro backyard! I sure like when the bees draw the comb evenly like this and not make it wavy or make comb bridges from the super being to full of honey.

Good job Danny! Those frames looks awesome!
Are you using plastic foundations or wax?
Also are you using an excluder?

Thank you Cristian! Even though it's the bees that are the ones that mostly did the good job. I use both plastic foundation and wired waxed foundation in my medium supers. The super in the pic was with plastic foundation. And yes I was using an excluder.

Thanks Christine, yeah there are certain things I do so I get the bees to draw perfect comb like that. The number one thing is the spacing between the frames. I use only 9 frames in a honey super using a 9 frame spacer or just by eyeing it most of the time so the space is even between the frames. It's not guaranteed everytime you harvest the honey that you'll get all perfect frames that are drawn out even. Because sometimes bees will do what they want to do. But with years of practice I think I train these bees pretty well or they train me well lol!

Yeah Jerry it's already to late. I extracted the honey this last Saturday. Maybe next year for sure I'll enter a frame in the competition.
