Just sending a followup report about this swarm in case anyone is interested.

It was way too high to get -- at least 10-15 feet higher than my 25 foot pole and bucket could reach. Even if I had another extension on the pole, I don't think I could have reached it. They were also on a thick trunk branch that would be difficult to bang them off of.

Another club member lives close by and has a bait hive out, so hopefully they'll move there!

Caller was able to send a pic. At least 20' up she said. Definitely a jet pack situation. Sigh. I'm sure there are bait hives all around in Berkeley.
