Hi,
My name is Philip and I used to have a mentor but he sadly passed. I am looking for a new mentor who might be able to advise me on when a good time is to split. I’m going to check my hive today and check the mite count. I treated them about 6 weeks ago. I have strong and big swarm from last year that’s quite busy today. I’ve been keeping bees for about 5 years.

Thanks,
Philip

I know what's it like to loose a mentor especially after 27 years. But I kept going  and been continuing beekeeping for 43 years total now. I've learned alot from doing splits and different techniques. So if you need any advice let me know.

You could be a Bee Buddy, see newsletter or alamedabees.org for more info.
