Weird comb - An explanation?

These long tubular combs were found in a deep hive box. The hive is only 1 deep box.

The deep sits over a screened bottom board.

I’m surrounded on 3 sides by undeveloped land. This is my 8th year of beekeeping

in this location, and this comb shape and location is new to me. I haven’t changed the

bottom board on this or prior hives.

Any explanation/s?
