I have a hive from a swarm I caught last year - which happened to fly into my backyard. AT the end of March, I saw lots and lots of honey and no eggs, no brood.Jim Veitch was kind enough to come by and helped me with a hive inspection saw some new eggs. So I covered them up, and left them alone.
Third week of April , the hive seemed to be humming alone, and I added a medium super.
My last hive check was early May. Today I did a hive check,
The bees have drawn comb on 7/10 frames in the super, and 5 of the 10 are 2/3 of honey and pollen.
The brood is below in a deep box. And I found 4 capped queen cups. Photos attached.
Advice.
Thanks,
Yolanda
