Hi there, a neighbor a few blocks away has some bees in an eave over
his front porch and I volunteered to give him a hand in removing them.

The entrance is about 1.5" pipe and it looks like we could put a scope
in to see where the combs are before cutting in to extract. Does
anyone have suggestions about how to do this (scope or otherwise)?

Thanks in advance!

Jim

I have a FLIR thermal imaging camera that attaches to your phone port. It comes in very handy when you can't see what's going on. You can set it to focus on a specific heat range and it supports a few different mapping environments so you can pick the one that shows the best contrast. If the pipe is metal and cold the area with bees=comb should be highly visible.

I've xrayed the dog with it too with pretty cool results.

If you want to borrow mine IM me and I'll have my daughter or SIL meet you.
