Good morning Bee Friends,

I found these wonderful alternatives to plastic tasting spoons for use at events where I can sell honey. I tried the wooden ones but they are also wasteful and have an unpleasant mouth feel. These little cardboard tasters are fully compostable and work very well. I am going to be ordering some very soon. Pricing drops with larger orders so if you are interested I would be happy to place a bulk order so we could all take advantage of better pricing. I'll hold off on ordering for one week in case anyone would like to get some.

I would love some.  How much are they approximately?  And are they easy enough where kindergartners with limited fine motor skills can use without making a mess?

Thanks,
Mimi

Hi Mimi,

All you have to do is hold it by one end and pinch the two green dots together. I don't think kindergarteners should have a problem with that. This is the pricing per case of 5000. I was thinking of getting a couple just to stock up for the next year or so.

I saw a beekeeper at a fair using a half stick of uncooked spaghetti. It was working well.

I love that. This is what I love about beekeepers. The ingenuity in repurposing stuff. I'm always looking at junk on the side of the road and thinking "how can I use that for bees?"
