New CDFA Registration Fees* (pending approval)
Remember:
Registration is due by January 1, 2025 and is required in each
county where you have bees.
Due to pending CDFA regulatory changes,
registration fees will be paid when the regulations are final,
which is anticipated for January 1, 2025.
Email notification will be sent when you can pay
the CDFA registration fee online through the
BeeWhere website.
Payment is made once annually, regardless if your hives are
located in multiple counties.
Update your hive locations when you register, and keep them up to
date when you move them.
All unregistered beekeepers will NOT be included in Bee Check
Reports following January 1,
2025.
Does anyone know what "Bee Check Reports" are?
Bee brokers pay a brokerage fee plus registration fees
for any individual beekeepers they are
brokering, when registration fees are not paid by the owner.
All hives are required to be registered, this includes bees here
for only seasonal pollination
services.
Hive location are kept confidential.
Contact the County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office where you
are registering hives for
additional information.
*Colony counts based on 2024 totals

I hope this helps
