A quick reminder about tonight's frame check at the BioFuel Oasis, plus two other events for people whose hives have died...
GET YOUR FRAMES CHECKED FOR AMERICAN FOULBROOD!Inspections at BioFuel Oasis in Berkeley, 1441 Ashby Ave.Tonight: Thursday, Feb. 24th, 6-7pmI will be inspecting frames in the parking lot. Bring a box of frames that have some old brood in them. I will also be showing what it looks like if hives die from mites/viruses. Also bring reader glasses if you want to see better in the comb.
VARROA MITE MANAGEMENT CLASS - Online2-Part Class: Sundays, March 20th & 27th, 7pm-8:30pm, $45This March class is aimed at beekeepers who lost their hives in fall/winter and want to keep them alive this year. My deepest empathy to you if you've had a hive die over winter. It always pains me when I lose a hive. They really get into our hearts and connect with our souls, don't they?
