Hi folks! First of all, see Sue's previous message to the list about RSVPing for the picnic (this Saturday!) at
suedonahu...@gmail.com or
(510) 695-5447 if you're coming.
Details are here.
But secondly: Jerry, who usually cooks the chicken for the picnic, has come down with COVID and can't make it 🤕. So this is last minute, but: would someone or someones volunteer to cook the chicken? You'd have to buy it, but the club will of course reimburse you.
From Jerry's description: I buy about a half pound of bone in chicken thighs per person. They are pretty cheap at Costco. I bone them out, so it’s not really that much. I get two pieces out of the big ones. There are no left overs. Couple of cups of soy sauce, some (sesame) oil, garlic, pepper flakes, ketchup. Marinade overnight.
Then you'd cook them at home, and being them to the picnic and placed on the grill to warm them up (we have limited grill space so they can't be fully cooked there).
If you can do this, please reply -- it would take a load off both Sue and myself, and be much appreciated. Thanks!
