I noticed this video of one of the other social media beekeepers doing candles. She says she gets her supplies from Mann Lake, but I have never seen these interesting metal clip things.

Has anybody seen these, and/or used them?  Know where to get them? (Hopefully somewhere besides Jeff Bezos’s evil empire)

Those look handy.  But I haven’t seen them.  Also Mann Lake has some molds on sale a small and medium sized pine cone might be nice to add to our collection!

Hey Dan -

I use to get these from the candle supply shops online like Aztec or Brambleberry.  They’re great when making jar candles to keep the wick(s) centered while pouring / cooling wax. I never tried candle molds but they should work the same way.

Left over from one my former side ventures, I have maybe a dozen of the metal holders and 50+ of a similar plastic holder that I’d be happy to donate to the club’s candle kit.  I also have hundreds of precut/assembled wicks of various thicknesses to donate as well, if wanted/needed.

Thanks
Jim
