Joan Houston's nomination for honorary club membership

Rob Mathews, 2025 ACBA President <r...@tigertech.com>: Mar 14 11:28AM -0700 At the Tuesday in-person meeting, the officers and I nominated several people for honorary membership in the club -- that's given to members who have “served the Alameda County Beekeepers Association, or beekeeping in general, long and faithfully <https://www.alamedabees.org/wp-content/uploads/2019-ACBA-Constitution-Signed-3.pdf> ”.   Three of those people (Norma Brooks, Jerry Przybylski, and Phil Stob) were at the meeting, and so heard the reasons why they were nominated.   But the fourth person, *Joan Houston*, couldn't be there. Sung Lee's split workshop part 3, Saturday at noon in Hayward. Free!

Rob Mathews, 2025 ACBA President <r...@tigertech.com>: Mar 14 10:42AM -0700 Sung Lee (the club's own Bee Charmer!) has been demonstrating how to make splits at the club apiary in Hayward.   This week, he'll be there again, giving us the final update on what to look for *after *you've made a split. Did the queen hatch and mate? What about eggs and brood? Are there enough bees of each type? We'll learn how to fix it when things go wrong.   This is free for members, and there are five slots left.
