Hi,
I’m curious if anyone has experience with navigating the process of drilling a well in the Town. I live in Fairview Park area off Alcatraz by Colby. I have bees and a garden for them to play in and with rising water costs my mind went to thinking about having my won source of water.

thanks!

Did you search Google? The AI assistant there was quite informative.
Actually, several AI assistants were informative.

I don’t think you want to go rogue: you could end up with contaminated
water, or get seriously fined.

I'd love to hear what you learn. Wells here in town are fascinating to me. There are several near me in Redwood Heights/Upper Laurel.

It basically illegal to drill well in California,
Doing it without proper permit will put you in nightmarish legal situation .
Your home owner insurance will also want to know about it .
Mine date back from the early 1900
It has been capped i do not know exactly where it is but both neighbor told me there is one .

I don't know about drilling a well down here, but my friends in Winters who only have well water have been looking into a new one and they are at least $50K.  Your water bill would have to be pretty big to offset that kind of cost.  The above ground tank is pretty big... Mark
