This is an
opportunity for seekers of knowledge to acquire an understanding legal and
spiritual foundation of the true Abrahamic rite, and how that is manifested in
this month, in the sacred lands and around the world.
Anyone who is performing hajj this year, or plans on doing so sometime in the
future, should definitely not miss this event!
Topics Covered Include:
The fiqh of Hajj, `Umrah, `Id al-Adhha, and the `Id Prayer as well as its `Udhiyyah/Sacrifice, and the takbir of the Days of Mina, as well as a Spiritual discourse regarding the reality of the millah Ibrahimiyyah and its rites.
Shaykh Hamza wald Maqbul
Shaykh Humza was born in Whittier, California. He is a graduate of the University of Washington. He studied the Islamic sciences in several countries, including Syria and Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, UAE, and finally, Pakistan, where he received a
license to instruct (ijazat al-tadris). He also received an unbroken chain of narration through which he narrates the books of hadith. He is currently the resident scholar of Thawr Insititute.
Shaykh Nabeel Khan
Shaykh Nabeel Khan was raised in the Bay Area of northern California. At the age of 13, he memorized the Qur'an. He later attended San Jose State University, majoring in Computer Science. Afterwards, he traveled to South Africa, where he studied at Darul Uloom Azaadville, for four years. Shaykh Nabil has also studied many sciences privately under many great scholars of our time. He is currently an instructor at Darul Ulum Seattle.
All lectures will be in English.
