Siemens Corporate Technology, India is pleased to invite your esteemed college to participate in the Siemens We@DS Hackathon in March 2017. The main purpose of the event is to encourage technology enthusiasts within our company and aspiring engineers in the student community to transform their tech ideas into reality within 24 hours. The same shall be showcased to industry experts and winners shall receive monetary rewards to help build their solutions further. We look forward to hacking with one team from your college (maximum four students) next month.
The event details are below:

§ Time: 4 p.m. – 4 p.m. (next day)
§ Venue: Siemens Technology and Services Pvt. Ltd., IFFCO Tower, Plot No. 3, Sector 29, Gurgaon - 122001.
About the event
The We@DS Hackathon is a 24-hour coding event for employees of Corporate Technology Development Services and students from select engineering colleges in India. It is an excellent platform for your students to showcase their unique expertise and an opportunity for them to network with our experts who develop some of the most advanced engineering products and solutions for Siemens. Your students will also be guided by a panel of technical mentors during the Hackathon, thereby giving them certain tips and exposure to industry practices. Since we have extended this invitation to other colleges across India, the Hackathon is also a great platform to showcase your college’s expertise within academic circles as well. The solutions will be judged on creativity, feasibility and business relevance. Kindly read the FAQ section for more information about rules, categories and IP related matters (Annexure 2).
How to register:
There are six categories under which your students can register their idea. Complete information about these categories is provided in Annexure 1 (attached). Each participant must also submit a letter (format attached) containing their parents’ or guardians’ signature at the time of registration. Following are the steps for registration.
STEP 1
A team of students from your college must choose and register under one category before submitting the completed form to
ds.hack...@siemens.com. The deadline for submissions is March 6, 2017. The team must have a maximum of four participants.
STEP 2
Your college’s team will need to be at the venue’s registration desk on March 17th at 3 p.m. The hack will begin at 4 p.m.
STEP 3
The finalists will have to demonstrate the solutions they have created over the 24-hour Hackathon to the jury. The winner and runner-up will be selected by the jury based on aspects that include novelty, design & technical elegance, usability and potential business impact.
Each member of the winning team will receive Rs. 10,000/- and the Runners Up will receive Rs. 5,000/- each.
