Dear  Mr. Bawa

Greetings from Wipro.

You may be aware that Wipro is an equal opportunities employer. This means that we select employees solely on the basis of their qualifications and competencies, and without bias due to their race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, socio-economic background or sexual orientation. Recognizing that people belonging to marginalized sections of society may sometimes not have an equal platform to perform in, we take conscious efforts to provide such a platform – an inclusive environment.

With this approach, we have undertaken the following measures to create an inclusive workplace for ‘persons with disabilities’:

 -  An equal opportunity policy including reasonable accommodation (adjustment) policy and a framework for its implementation;

-   Modifications to our campuses to make it accessible as far as possible;

-   Specific measures to make our recruitment and training procedures inclusive and

-   Programs for creating awareness among employees on diversity and equal opportunity

We believe that such an inclusive environment would not just provide employment to persons with disabilities, but to encourage them to build meaningful, long term careers with us.

We are organising a special recruitment event for persons with disabilities who have completed their BCA, BE and B Tech. We would soon share details about the locations, dates and venue for the walk in interview.

We request you to please spread this information among your students and former students with disabilities and to all your staff members and faculty to enable them to also refer qualified people with disabilities for this recruitment event. We request you to also share this information through your college notice boards or other appropriate medium.

INTERESTED STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES SHOULD SUBMIT THEIR BIO-DATAS DIRECTLY TO CILP LATEST BY 7 TH JULY 2011.ALSO SEND A SCANNED COPY OF DISABILITY CERTIFICATE ALONGWITH .
