I have had 3 technicians come and nobody can fix tis problem. whenever i use apps off my samsung smart tv like netflix yourutbe fubo prime dazn everything is good. but when i go back to cable there is no sound . nobody knows why. is it my smart tv . it weird i have to turn off the tv and turn it back on for my cable to have sound. its very frustrating and i wish i never switched to ignite. can anybody help me.
On the Rogers box, go to Rogers - Settings - Device Settings - Audio - HDMI Audio Output and try the various settings there. The best when using a TV is usually "Stereo", instead of "Auto Detect" because the latter requires a handshake between the box and the TV, whereas the former doesn't. There appears to be a handshake issue between the TV and the Rogers box. Make sure that the firmware on your TV is up to date, especially if it's a few years old.
Edit - If this doesn't fix it, and you don't like turning the TV off/on, perhaps change the input on the TV to a different one (like ANT or other) and then back to the HDMI input you're using for Rogers. Another thing you can try is plugging the Rogers box into a different HDMI input, assuming the TV has one - HDMI2 instead of HDMI1 for example. Sometimes one of the inputs is designed for a particular type of signal...
Any update on this have the same TV and have similar issues, I have sound but it is lower while watching Ignite TV and any of the apps on the box (Netflix, Youtube, etc), switch to apps on Samsung TV and the apps are normal volume. Have tried different boxes, different HDMI ports, adjusted all the audio settings on the TV and Ignite Box and nothing helps.
Unfortunately, different devices can have different volume outputs. I'm not sure if the TV has an adjustment in the TV's audio setting, but you say you've tried them all. Usually the TV audio may have something like "voice enhancement" or something similar that can increase the audio somewhat, but I'm not sure if you can do that specifically for a specific input. Check out your Input and HDMI input settings on the TV for anything regarding audio. I suggest you give those a try again. You may want to download the operating manual for the TV and do a search of the PDF using terms like "volume" "audio", "Input" etc.
I currently am having issues with netflix keep going blurry on my TV, sometimes not loading and generally being useless. I use a draytek vigor 130 modem with an orbi mesh system and it only appears to be netflix on my Samsung smart TV that has issues.
I've spoken to netflix support and they have blamed my ISP (EE). Has anyone else had similar issues at all? Coming to my wits end with it. Tried all sorts of changes to my orbi setup but no matter what I do nothing works.
Running a speedtest.com via the TV browser return a 73mb down 18mb up which is great. Running it on fast.com (netflix's speed test site) I get 32mb down 12mb up but it's very intermittent and sometimes drops to kb's. Just don't get it!
Is anyone else experiencing this? Pandora plays for about 40 min on my NEW Samsung Smart TV. then it stops and also shuts off my TV! This started happening about a week ago. Updated FW on the TV and the router, located close to the tv
First, make sure your device has the latest firmware by checking for a new update. To do this, press Menu on your remote and scroll down to Support. Then select Software Update. If an update is available, try loading Pandora again once the update is complete.
Next, please try deleting and re-adding the Pandora app from the app store on your Samsung device.
You should also contact Samsung directly to troubleshoot your specific device and settings. You can view their support page here. Or, contact them directly using this link.I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
My new Samsung TV and Samsung sound-bar are doing the same thing, they just shut off and I have to power them back up and then it goes back to TV. Not sure why this is happening, it did not happen on my old TCL TV. I'm use ARC cables, so there shouldn't be any issues, my software is up to date, and I have deleted and reinstalled Pandora. Still having same issue.
It's a 55" TV un55au8000fxza with the Samsung B6 soundbar, I've been chatting with Samsung support for a while now and we are trying a number of things. When I play Pandora or another app, the tv and soundbar just shut off and power down. So far, we've reset everything, it still happened. I switched from using HDMI ARC to just a digital cable, and it did not shut off. Right now I'm testing new HDMI cables but happened again. They are thinking there is something wrong with my Soundbar.
Pandora app is still shutting down my samsung TV. I have done a factory reset on the TV. that didn't help. then samsung had the motherboard replaced....and it's still happening. Samsung does not seem to have level 2 tech heads. HELP HELP HELP
It's very odd that the TV shuts off and this is this first time I'm hearing this kind of experience. I've updated my notes to our engineering team with the information you provided. Thanks for your continued patience while we investigate.
i think the most important thing is not that it would disguise as real art, but that it just looks so much better than a regular TV. the screen is definitely low gloss compared to other TVs, so it has a nice art-like matte finish.
the sensor detects when theres no activity in the room and then shuts off. you can set the sensitivity so it turns back on easier when you enter the room if you prefer that, you can also set a timer so it auto shuts off.
and again, since i wrote this post, the app has gotten EVEN worse. for halloween i wanted to upload new art and i spent like literally 3 hours trying to make it work. eventually i used my husbands phone which has way less photos on it and that eventually worked.
if you want to upload your own photos, you just have to use a mat. they have an option for one, two or three photos. it can be very fun for holidays like i do every christmas with arlos santa photos. (fyi this is my older frame tv below, the first gen (yes the one arlo broke) which def had worst screen quality than our new one).
in the art mode settings you can modify the mat. you can display the art with no mat like mine are above, or you can adjust the mat. they have a thicker and thinner mat option, and you can change the color of the mat as well.
You could try plugging in an Ethernet cable into the box then your router, seems to be more stable than Wi-Fi for me! Just make sure you go in and change the connection settings after that you are wired in. Hope that helps!
I actually landed on this page as I was looking for people who have tried setting up a slideshow on the Frame. You can setup a slideshow, but you have to go to the menu option where you can find your device, and then run the slideshow. If you want to purposely run the slideshow it works well. You can load images from a network drive, a PLEX server, etc, or you can just hook up a USB drive with the photos.
Now I just switch to art mode every time we finish watching tv. I also turn on art mode before we go to bed and have art mode set to sleep after 15min. When we walk out in the AM it clicks right on 100% of the time!
Just discovered: We use AppleTV for everything. To switch between art mode and Apple TV make sure you have these properly configured:
The Frame: Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet + (HDMI-CEC) > OFF
Apple TV: Settings > Remote and Devices > Turn On Your TV with Your Remote > ON
We have had our 55 inch for a year now. TV it replaced was 10 years old so we found picture fantastic. However art mode is very poor. The memory is very small so we can only have 8 photos on it. When you browse art it seems to fill memory and Samsung force loads of memory heavy apps on you. Having my time again I would not buy this. The art is loverly but pricey, the picture is very good. The apps and functions poor. Twenty clicks to turn down brightness and you must leave Netflix, bbc I player etc to adjust. The light sensor does not seem to work for us so at night art looks false unless we go in and turn down the brightness.
The negative reviews seem to be a deal breaker , specially the memory capability. Also , the features not included on the slide show being reported , like advancing to next photo and always having to start a slide show at the same point is unacceptable. My 4 year old Vizio can do this! Anyone else having thee issues or was there a fix?
I have a new Frame TV. I like it so much that I want another one. If you have more than one Frame TV, and you want the Art Store on both, do I need to pay for another subscription? Or can I use my one subscription for both?
One of the things that I found most interesting about the TV is that it can look like art when it is not being used. This is a great way to save space in your home and to add a touch of style to your dcor.
