> Reports to:​Director

> Overall purpose of job:

> ​To be responsible for the management of the Policy Advocacy programme of Amnesty International Thailand, including the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of the Policy Advocacy programme as approved by the Director. The Policy Advocacy Coordinator reports to the Director and works closely with the researchers and IGO coordinator at AI International Team, other staff and partners.

> Responsibilities

> Monitor and document human rights developments and case studies and produce advocacy materials, reports and briefings

> Monitor state laws, regulations and policies related to AI Human Rights themes.

> Engage in advocacy meetings with politicians, government officials, diplomats and related international / national organizations

> Engage and follow up with UN human rights mechanisms and ASEAN Human Rights related mechanisms
> •
> Engage in consultation meetings and work in partnership with lawyers, activists, civil society groups and experts.
> •
> Monitor and evaluate the impact of policy and advocacy activities.
> •
> Work in close collaboration and communication with other departments; explaining policies of AI and partner organizations / coalitions in which AI Th works, for the benefit of AI Th members, activisits, board members, other staff
> •
> Gather information and provide regular updates for the Asia Pacific Team on the Thai human rights situation.
> •
> Instigating discussion, formulating the AI Th policy position for the ICM

> Work as assigned by the supervisor

> Qualifications Required

> Thai nationality

> At least two-year professional work experience with similar responsibilities

> Proven coordinating and project management skills

> Proven well Interpersonal skill

> Good command of English and Thai (spoken and written)

> Ability to work well on multiple tasks under pressure

> Ability to travel or sometimes work irregular hours or on weekends
