VHP Thailand is glad to inform you that after the resounding success of Lord Ganesha Festival in the previous years, we are now embarking on a grander scale. The festivities will be held on the 2nd and 3rd September 2017 at the National Stadium Complex (Close to National Stadium BTS Station), Rama 1 Road, Bangkok. The Cultural program will be held on the evening of Saturday, 2nd August 2017 in between 5pm to 10pm.
You were a part of our cultural program ensemble. We invite your interest in participating this year. If you have received this email or heard about this and were not a part of the events in the previous year, we welcome you to participate this year. Although the general guidelines will be similar, we now have a larger group of devotees who will be taking responsibility.
Some of the basic guidelines that we will follow will be as under:-
- There will be no solo performances, unless absolutely riveting - in the eyes of the organisers.
- Emphasis will be on non-repetitive activities with special emphasis on showcasing classical Indian cultural, including folk music and dance.
- There will be a strict time limit to each performance, depending upon the number of participants.
- The theme will be restricted to Indian culture and the subject matter at hand.
- Hindi movie songs - especially those totally disconnected to the theme - will not be permitted.
- Number of participants per performance should be optimal.
- All performers will have to give an audition at two stages, at the time of acceptance and later just prior to the event.
