The ICAAP11 abstract reviewer nomination is now open! Between today and 11 January 2013, we kindly invite you to nominate new reviewers for the XI International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (November 18-23, 2013).
We anticipate over 6,000 abstract submissions. Each abstract should be reviewed and scored by at least three members of an international review committee. The review process is blinded and will take place in June 2013.
The reviewer nomination contains a list of all active ICAAP10 reviewers. That will allow you to:
- Nominate new reviewers - NOMINATION ABSTRACT REVIEWER FORM
- De-activate names from the reviewer list as attached excel file.
(Track A: The evolving epidemiology of HIV in Asia and the Pacific
Track B: Advances in basic and clinical sciences
Track C: Meeting the challenge of Universal Access - Treatment, Care, Support, Prevention and Social Protection
Track D: Building and supporting leaders and advocates - Politics, Economy, Religion, Culture, Youth, Media
Track E: Engaging communities for effective responses - PLWHA, MSM, Sex Worker, Transgender, IDU, Migrant, People in prison
Track F: Overcoming human rights, legal and policy barriers)
We estimate that 300 new reviewers are needed - this means that every nomination you make is very important!
Please make sure to nominate people that are knowledgeable in their field of work and that you think may be available to take part in the review process in June 2013.
As a Scientific Programme or Track Committee member, you are more than welcome to nominate yourself as a reviewer for the regular review period. Please however bear in mind that all committee members from each track will be required to serve as arbiter reviewers between 15 June and 20 June 2013 for abstracts that have not received a sufficient number of scores.
It is the aim to achieve a balanced representation of gender and geographical regions in the international review committee for ICAAP11, and we therefore ask you to take this into account when nominating possible reviewers.
Please complete your reviewer nominations before 11 January 2013. We will analyse the distribution of reviewers at that point to ascertain if we need to do a topic-specific reviewer search. Invitations will be sent to nominated reviewers in February 2013.
If you have questions or need assistance with the process of reviewer nomination please contact us at prog...@icaap11.org
Thank you for your contribution towards a successful ICAAP11!
Yours sincerely,
Sittikorn Rongsumlee
