Latin America Open Data (Un)conference - Uruguay/Montevideo - 24/27 Julho

Caros,

faz algum tempo venho trocando ideias com a galera que esta articulando o movimento de dados abertos no Uruguay. Conheci o Fernando em Brasilia no IACC ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wOU9J7FcjwM#! ) e já estive por lá com o Rondon e o Vagner pra falar com a galera da AGESIC.

Enfim, eles estão ajudando na organização da Latin America Open Data Conference e propondo e convidando a THacker para co-ordenar a desconferência que vai antecipar o evento.

Ficamos de fazer uma outra reunião na semana que vem pra começar a ver isso. Quem quiser participar, é só cair dentro :)

Eles já tem alguma grana, mas obviamente estão procurando por mais. Fiquei de fazer uma conversa com a Sunlight Foundation, que esta ampliando o alcance internacional. Acho que vale (Tom, Vitor, Dani) a gente pensar em como a OKFN Br pode participar e ajudar também.

No mais, tem interesse em levar o ônibus (copiados aqui =). Acho que a gente podia fazer uma grande caravana hacker para o sul em Junho. Chegando um pouco antes pra tocar um terrorzinho fora da conferência também :)

Da pra deslocar parte da verba de transporte deles pra isso. Mas vamos ter que correr atrás da diferença... vou dar um alô no Canela da UNESCO também. Capi, você tinha falado da empresa uruguaya que trabalha com scraping? Alguma resposta?

Let me tell you how we are involved

 Fernando:  We are part of the organization of the Latin America Open Data Conference, and got some founding from Omydiar to do the un-conference and the conference

Also world bank, W3c, and Uruguaian Goverment is founding the conference

For the unconferece we have the remainings of 50: US$, that we estimate around 20:

Maybe FCI is getting another 20: so we are just near the foundings we estimate we need

Also we are going to try to get fly tickets for both events for some civil society people, so we can spare some money from fly tickets

As the un-conference is not scheduled, but is build by all participants, we have nothing to prepare for that.

Pedro, pra qual cidade(s) no uruguai o onibus iria?

Meu irmão trabalha no departamento cultural do Itamaraty e ele tava me explicando sobre como funciona pro Itamaraty dar grana pra projetos nacionais irem pro exterior. Basicamente, a gente precisa entrar em contato com o departamento cultural da embaixada ou consulado brasileiro do país que a gente vai (no caso, o uruguai). Se a gente for pra capital, pra alguma cidade sem consulado ou for para vários lugares, falamos com a embaixada. Se a gente for pra alguma cidade com consulado, a gente fala com aquele consulado específico.

Quanto mais "brasileira" for a cultura que estiver sendo promovida, mais chances de conseguir grana, mas só o fato de ser um ônibus cheio de brasileiros já é bem bacana.

Meu irmão falou que os processos são lentos, então a gente tem que entrar em contato asap. Mas, para já pensar em coisas futuras, o ideal seria fazer esse contato um ano antes - todo de ano as embaixadas e consulados mandam a previsão de gastos com promoção de cultural brasileira do próximo ano para o Itamaraty, que aprova (ou não) e manda a grana. Se a gente conseguir se antecipar, é bem maior a chance de conseguir o dinheiro.

já tem alguma previsão de quanto vai custar essa viagem? alguém tem informações do evento pra me passar? (deu uma googlada e não achei nada)

Pro pessoal que estava habituado a inscrever o ônibus em editais e afins (acho que Dani, Lívia e Pedro):

vocẽs tem algum material bacana do onibus, coisas que saíram na mídia, etc.? (além do que tem no site)
