Call for projects: The social impact of open data in cities

Dear all,

I’m a researcher working with Open Knowledge, a global civil society organisation dedicated to opening up information to benefit the lives of citizens around the world.

Our research team, led by Jonathan Gray, Director of Policy and Research (in copy), is currently working on a paper highlighting some of the best projects using open data that have positive social, democratic or environmental impacts in cities.

Particularly we look at how CSOs, civic tech groups or social movements may use open city data to tackle these issues within their cities - as well as depicting the outcomes of their projects.

At the moment we are collecting interesting examples and we would love to hear about projects you worked on, or other projects you think might be interesting for our paper!
