Hi all,

Just wanted to bring this to your attention - the Web We Want is making a "limited number of small grants available to support national advocacy and campaigning efforts to make the web free, open, socially relevant and accessible to all. Applications from non-profit groups in the Global South will be prioritised."

To flag- these grants are only applicable for advocacy, campaigning and influencing activities - you can find more details here: https://webwewant.org/2013-grant-funding-round/ - and they have an extremely quick turn around - just 5 working days to process.

Eu continuo sem tempo, mesmo com eventual recurso pra pilotar... mas será que a gente não consegue pleitear um grant desses para escrever a peça jurídica/desenvolver a campanha contra o contrato da Câmara/Oracle?

Rabatone, será que não tem gente do PoliGNU que pode ajudar?

Olá pessoal,

gostaria de informar que vamos receber um pequeno subsídio para um projeto criado pela Heloisa. :)

Vou copiar aqui a descrição da Heloisa, mas espero escrever um artigo no site da OKF Brasil detalhando o projeto em breve.

"Our goal is to bring attention to issues related to
freedom of speech, transparency and privacy during the
2014 Presidential Election, which are usually dominated
by populist discourses. We will create a platform with
basic questions about public policies relating to the
above issues and ask the main candidates (for state and
federal representatives, governors and president) about
their public positions. We will make the results available
for the general public and the press, helping to enrich a
public debate on such pressing issues that hopefully will
inform voters’ decisions."
