About the Urban China Initiative (UCI)
UCI is a joint project of Tsinghua University, Columbia University and McKinsey & Co. It aims to advance the research and practice of urban development in China by supporting and convening its leading thinkers and practitioners. The Urban Leaders Roundtable Series is UCI’s quarterly flagship event. Invitation-only, it brings together each time 20 to 30 leaders in China, including ministers, government directors, corporate senior executives, top academic theorists and NGO leaders.
Event DescriptionThe theme of the April 7 roundtable at Harvard is Urban China: Development, Design and Direction. We believe the topics will define China’s urban future - what kind of development policy should China adopt? How can China better design its cities? And how much influence can we exert at local levels?
