Hello, All:
All of the railcar treasures we moved out of
Wes and Cindy Vail's garage Wednesday are now stored at various locations in
Samoa. This project was a snap, thanks to many hands making light and pleasant
work out of what would have been a real chore for a small work crew. We had the
vehicles loaded in Santa Rosa in little more than an hour, making it an
easy single-day round trip. I know Cindy Vail was much relieved
to work with this large crew of courteous volunteers that showed
up to take possession of pieces of the Vail's hearts. Many thanks to the
many volunteers who participated in this project, including: Bayard Smith, Dan
Hauser, Bill Kohse, Carl Mueller, Larry Buerer, Mike Kellogg, Bob Felter, Gary
and Mary Boughton, Harvey Raider and Don Banducci. If I missed anyone,
accept my apologies. Well done, people. I hope we have a similar large turnout
when we place ten railcars on site in Samoa over the next few
weeks.
David
