1st. This looks a great idea, and I'm sure we'll be surprised at the places where networks have popped up.
2nd. Looks quite doable if you guys are in for the work.

Questions:

Does anyone know of an online service, application that we can use to collect this type of data (such that we can put together a simple template for collecting the data and then each person enter the data online?)

Would it make sense for someone to hack up a 'survey' template for collecting the data so we have some similarity in terminology and data collection ?

Dear Fe’ao & Alfred,

 

I suggest the following actions plan for the Technical Group to keep on maintaining the momentum as the basis of discussion;

 

(1)     Identify all existing networks (either LAN or WAN) currently in place in Tonga with their underlying technology used

(2)     Identify all existing services (email, web, telephony, sms etc) according to geographical location including statistic of citizens per village

(3)     Design network architecture suitable for Tonga, ie, network topology, high performance devices, security and supports

(4)     Focus on Networking Tongatapu and identify potential issues

(5)     Enhance (optimize services offer by) the Government of Tonga Network – GoTNET Project

 

Perhaps I am not too far behind the momentum point last week but I hope the above would provide you any help.

I agree with this plan by Havea, we need to keep the momentum going.
I don't know of any online services or template to help with this
survey but if I find one I'll let you guys know.
