Lote,

I think it would be very useful for quite a number of the groups if we
could get a copy of the current Government Organisational Chart as well
as ICT Posts (persons) within Government.

Have suggested an asset review that would find the above information
very useful as a starting point.

If it would be possible to grab the above, physical/electronic then
please let us in.

Thanks,

Sam T.

Good Morning Sam;

Portrayed are the government line ministries. Sorry but I can't find a copy of Governments Organisational Structure. However according to Schedules I and II of the Public Service Act 2002, all staff of Government Ministries and Departments come under the Public Service Commission except the following;
  1. Magistrates
  2. Prisons
  3. Police
  4. Commissioner for Public Relations
  5. Tonga Defense Services
Below that is a listing of ICT personnel (that we've identified so far) within each line ministry.

Please  note that the listing may not be complete as there may be other ICT personnel within line ministry's who are not in ICT positions. Some ministries have occupants in non-ICT related positions who do ICT related work. Other ministries however do not have any ICT personnel and rely on other ministries to help out with their ICT needs or they contract outside IT companies to take care of their ICT needs.

Hope this helps.

Wow!!!

Thanks Lote,

Real useful,

Saia Vaipuna is starting up a group for ICT people in Government, and they had already started looking at people, but THIS will definitely speed things up.

Thanks,

Hi all,

This is the list that we have of all Government IT Personnels. I'm
not sure about Salote's list, but we confirmed ours from each
department. The Ministry of Tourism doesn't have any IT personnel at
the moment. The Crown Law Department doesn't have any either, they
are looked after by the ITs from Justice. The ITs for Audit are the
three ladies listed below, they didn't say that Siaosi Taufa is in
it. There might still be some people that should be in this list but
these are the ones we've had so far. We have their posts and contact
email addresses as well but since anyone can view this discussion, and
you know what it's like with IT people, they want their tight security
and privacy and they think that the CIA is after them or something, I
won't include them in here.

And also Salote, fakatonutonu atu hoku hingoa 'i ho list 'oku 'ikai ke
'i ai ha "asi" ai ko e "Pauli" pe lol.

Lol....

Sorry about the "typo" on your name, that was taken from the Civil Listing provided by none other than the administration section of the Ministry of Finance and National Planning....lol.

Thanks for the updated list Pauli. Now I know after seeing your list, that people in the Civil Service are definitely not doing the job prescribed in their Job Descriptions....lol and of course they aren't doing the Job to which they were interviewed for. I should know, I've probably interviewed most of them. Hoiaue. I'll try and reconfirm the smaller departments. The ladies listed under Audit, are just the ones that type their correspondences, the Siaosi dude I know for sure was supposed to work in their "supposedly" IT section but maybe he got drafted to another area of Audit.

I'll follow up on your list.

Yeah I know Siaosi should be in IT as well. He knows a lot about IT
and I think he's got a diploma in IT from TIHE. I'm not sure why they
didn't mention him as well.
