FYI.

The computer and satellite equipment (excluding dish) have arrived. We inventoried the equipment, including 3 x HP PCs with 19" LCD screens Monday morning and apart from drooling over the equipment, all the bits and pieces are there.

Next phase is for TCC staff to check the equipment.

After that, we're waiting on a boat to take the stuff to Niuafo'ou. Anyone interested in a one-way ticket to Niuafo'ou ?

Know any one from Niuafo'ou / Niuatoputapu?

We need email addresses.

The PFNET (in the Solomon Islands) experience clearly highlights that we will get more use of these Internet connections if locals have someone on the other side they can get in touch with.

If you have any contact details (especially e-mail but even weblinks) for Niuafo'ou/Niuatoputapu people. Please get those details to me so we can compile it and have something ready with the boxes on arrival.

Interested in an Internet Connection?

Please let your 'people' know about the Niuafo'ou and Niuatoputapu projects. Organisations interested in a dedicated Internet connection at Niuafo'ou should contact me or preferably Taiatu @ TCC. Better to make arrangements now, and make sure all equipment is sent on next available boat.

Services

We do not have any specific services scheduled for the equipment (get the T-Shirts before finishing the product) and your help in telling us your needs that we can try to solve with these connections will be much appreciated.

ciao,

Sam T.
